Introduction to Podcasts 

My introduction to podcasts began on the social media app Instagram , where many podcasters would post short clips of their podcast. The podcasts' that caught my attention were mainly based on true crime ,as me and my mom enjoy watching/listening to true crime stories. I particularly liked that I could listen to it on the go ,rather than how I used to watch true crime stories on Youtube. 

My favorite true crime Podcast is Murder With My Husband  

From A Business Standpoint 

In my perspective ,I  believe it's a great budget friendly alternative for creatives' that are interested in the pursuing a career in media. And it's an amazing platform in terms of monetization, creators can substantially ,properly profit for the content they produce. 

How Podcasts Differ From other Digital Platforms

While there are podcast that are free of charge majority of the creators on this platform gain revenue from viewings or audio listeners of their posts. Unlike many video or text based platform where a majority or account holders post for 'pleasure' with no monetary gain. It's also not a platform made for one on one digital social interactions ,it's a platform made to connect with an audience of persons. 

There's also flexibility in terms of hosting live shows where listeners/viewers can interact with creators and be part of the show(podcast).
