Linkedin started in it's founder Reid Hoffman living room , and was officially lunched in 2003 as a platform in which business professional of all professions around the world can connect and in turn better each other through exchange of knowledge and experiences.
On my first use of the platform I did not know what to expect as I was not privy to Linkedin ,its functions or features. In my research and browsing of the app I learned that Linkedin is a interactive platform for businesses and business professionals. Where business professionals can list their qualifications ,experience and skills in hopes of gaining employment, converse with like minded persons or post invites to networking events. Businesses can post what services or products their company provides, or post positions at their company that are available to be filled.
Navigating Linkedin
Navigating Linkedin was an easy process, as I understood the workings of the platform quickly. The feature I noticed first was the Hiring or Open to Work that was visible on every profile picture so you can immediately know a persons purpose on the platform.
Features for Businesses
Linkedin features that are beneficial to businesses would be:
Email Marketing which offers businesses free marketing.
Excellent candidate pool to choose from.
Optimization.
